Our Story

Coffee is all about the smile it puts on your face after that first sip. It’s the simple text message to a friend to say “coffee?” It’s the walk by the seafront and the gentle breeze brushing your face. The smell of sea air and seagulls flying swooping by. It's the comforting feeling you get with that coffee in your hand. You know that whatever comes your way now, you will be able to smash any issues that come your way. It’s ‘the kick you need’.

Bold and Brass started in February of 2021. Kevin Ryan is a secondary school teacher from Wexford and a lover of all things coffee. But it is not just about great tasting coffee at Bold and Brass. Environmental responsibility is at the heart of everything we do, and our goal is to build a coffee company for the future. We are constantly looking for new ways to lower our carbon footprint and be kinder to our planet. We were the first café in Ireland to introduce edible cups and loads of coffee shops have followed suit, which we’re over the moon about. We are by no means perfect, but we’ve made it our mission to try.
